The Houston-Harris County Emergency Rental Assistance Program is now only accepting applications for renters with active eviction cases (must have an active case or cause number).

If you are currently in eviction court and have a case or cause number, you can find details on program eligibility, documentation requirements, and submit a new application here. You cannot update an existing application.
The City of Houston and Harris County have provided nearly $280 million in rental assistance to almost 70,000 households impacted by COVID-19 since the program launched in February 2021. The funds have been distributed by three agencies with established experience in helping people in need: BakerRipley, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, and The Alliance.

Landlords interested in registering their property will need to enroll their property and agree to the terms of the program.
Applications selected to be processed before December 31, 2021 will continue to be processed.
