Houston-Harris County Eviction Intervention Program
Harris County and the City of Houston are working together to serve as a resource to community organizations that help people facing eviction. The program provides rental assistance to eligible and approved tenants for past due rent to help prevent eviction. This program is administered by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Applications can only be submitted through community partners – or EIP Community Partners – that are located throughout Houston and Harris County. Landlords must agree to participate.
EIP Community Partners are community-based organizations that offer other services such as legal assistance, employment readiness, or housing stability services; whose clients may qualify to receive eviction intervention support from the Houston-Harris County Eviction Intervention Program.
